CLUB NOTES: Our seniors defeated Cortoon Shamrocks in Round 2, Group 1 of the County Senior Football Championships last Wednesday evening in Tuam Stadium. The full time score was Corofin 5-16 to Cortoon Shamrocks 0-6. Corofin led at half time by 1-5 to 0-3 with the goal scored by Ronan Steede. The second half goals came from Dylan Canney, Martin Farragher & Gary Sice (2). Well done to all involved. Our under 14s defeated Tuam Stars in the league division 1 (North) played this Thursday evening in Tuam Stars ground by 6-4 to 3-10. Well done lads. We defeated Monivea-Abbey by 4-12 to 1-3 in the under 13 division 1A played last Friday evening. In the under 12 games played last week we defeated Annaghdown in group 1, drew with Annaghdown B in group 2 and drew with Claregalway in group 10. The Club offers its sincere sympathy to Brian and Lorraine Wallace on the sad loss of baby Aoife Wallace, Corbally. We also sympathise with Ollie Miskell, Myles Park and Pat Costello, Bullaun on the death of Teresa Miskell, Barnaderg. May they rest in peace.
