CLUB NOTES:

Well done to Galway footballers who had a comfortable win over Sligo in the Connacht semi-final played in Pearse Stadium on Sunday.  Congrats to Ian Burke who score 1-2 in the game.  Galway play Roscommon in the Connacht final in Hyde Park, Roscommon at 4.00 pm on Sunday 17 June.

The Galway hurlers also qualified for the Leinster final following their victory over Wexford on Saturday.

Our seniors play St. James' in Mervue at 8.00 pm on Friday evening in the league, division 1.

We play Renvyle in the league, division 4 at 2.00 pm in Renvyle on Sunday.

The division 5, North league game versus Headford was deferred to this Tuesday evening.

We lost out to Milltown in the league (division 8A North) by 2-9 to 3-11, played in Corofin on Saturday evening.

We defeated Annaghdown by 1-8 to 1-5 in the under 13 league (division 1A) played in Cregg last Friday.

Well done to our two under 12 teams who played in the annual Clifford Cup, hosted by St Marys GAA Club, Sligo on Saturday.  Both teams competed very well in an extremely well run tournament.  Our first team played in the A Cup Competition and lost out on a place in the semi-final on score difference.   The second team who played in the B Shield, topped their group, won their semi final convincingly and narrowly lost out in the final to Four Masters, Donegal town by 4 points to 5.  The Club is very proud of the boys and thanks the mentors and all involved with the trip to Sligo on Saturday.

The Club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of the following who died recently: Thomas Silke, Corrandulla, brother of John Silke, Caherhugh.  May he rest in peace.
