CLUB NOTES: Our seniors had a comfortable win in the second round of the Senior Football Championship played on Saturday evening in Pearse Stadium against Moycullen. Down by 5 points to 7 at half time, having played against the wind, Corofin dominated the second half winning on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-11. Gary Sice and Martin Farragher scored the Corofin goals. Well done to all on an excellent display, particularly in the second half. The team will next play in either the preliminary quarter finals or the quarter finals towards the end of August. The All-Ireland Féile finals take place in Sligo this weekend. Our under 14 boys travel to Drumcliffe where they play in a group with Drumcliffe/Rosses Point and Douglas, Cork. We send best wishes to the team and mentors. The Club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Willie Costello, Thomastown, Belclare, who died recently. May he rest in peace.
