CLUB NOTES:
The seniors have been drawn to play Moycullen in the second round of the Championship. Games are scheduled to take place on the weekend of 17/18 June.
Our junior team drew with St James’ in the league, division 5 (North) played in Corofin on Saturday on a scoreline of Corofin 2-13 to St. James' 3-10.
The under 14s lost narrowly to Annaghdown by 2-4 to 0-11 in the under 14 league, division 1 North, played in Cregg on Friday evening. The second under 14 team were defeated by Craughwell in the league, division 3, played in Craughwell also on Friday evening.
This year is a special year for the Raftery Cup as it marks the 70th year of this Cup Competition. The finals take place this Thursday evening in the Corofin GAA pitch.
Six games are down for decision on the evening:
9 a-side Final – Ballinderry play Belclare;
7 a-side Final – Castlehackett play Sylane;
9 a-side Shield – Annaghill play St Colmans;
7 a-side Shield – Cummer 1 play Currandrum;
7 a-side Plate – Belclare play Ballinderry or Cummer 2;
Exhibition match – Annaghill play Ballinderry or Cummer 2.
