CLUB NOTES:



Well done to our seniors who had an excellent win in the first round of the championship over Cortoon Shamrocks.  The final score was Corofin 2-15 to ‪Cortoon Shamrocks 0-08.  The goals from Colin Brady (1st half) & Micheál Lundy (2nd half) helped seal the victory.  The draw for the next round takes place on Wednesday.  Games are scheduled to take place on the weekend of 17/18 June.





Our junior C team had a good win in the league, division 8A (North) on Friday evening, defeating Dunmore MacHales by 2-16 to 1-14.         



 



The under 15s lost out to Caherlistrane by 5-10 to 7-11 in the league, division 1A played in Caherlistrane last week.    



 



The under 13 team defeated Caherlistrane by 5-8 to 2-8 in the league, division 1A in Belclare on Friday evening.         



 



The under 15 team play Claregalway in Corofin on Tuesday next at 7.00 pm in the league division 1A.  



 



Corofin U10's (2007&2008) first Go Game is confirmed for Annaghdown GAA pitch for Saturday next with a 10.00 am start.  Players are to meet at Annaghdown pitch at 9.45 am. Games will finish at 11.00 am.



 



The final round of group games in the Raftery Cup take place this Wednesday evening in Belclare at 6.15.  The Raftery Cup finals are scheduled for Corofin on Thursday 25 May.



 



The Connacht Sheep Shearing Festival takes place this weekend.  All proceeds of the weekend will go to the Corofin community development to pay existing loan on the playground and future projects including development of the Canon Oliver Hughes Park.  If you are available to volunteer, particularly on Sunday 21, May, contact John Raftery at 087 2585843. 



 



The Club offers its sympathy to the Roche family Ballybanagher on the death of Teresa McHugh, Ballybanagher and Abbeyknockmoy and to Mary Collins, Curry and Josephine Coen, Cloonmore on the death of their brother Johnny Fahy, Turloughmore.  May they Rest in Peace.
