CLUB NOTES:
Congratulations to Galway under 21 footballers who had a superb win over Kerry by 2-14 to 2-10 in the All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday in Ennis. Our three Club players, Kieran Molloy, Dylan McHugh and Colin Brady contributed in no small way to the win with Kieran scoring a point and Colin getting a vital goal. Well done to all.
Our seniors lost to St. James' in the division 1 league in Corofin on Thursday evening by 2-13 to 0-13.
Our juniors defeated Caherlistrane in the division 5 (north) league in Corofin on Friday evening by 4-13 to 0-13. The Corofin goals were scored by Seán Silke, 2 and one each from Alan O’Donovan and Trevor Burke.
We lost out to Barna in in the division 3 league game played in Furbo on Sunday on a scoreline of 1-5 to 0-14.
Our under 16s defeated Ballinasloe with an impressive panel performance on Tuesday evening in Ballinasloe in division 1 (north). They played Caherlistrane in the team’s 3rd championship game in Corofin on Tuesday.
The under 14s play in Féile (div 1) this weekend. They will have games against St Brendan's Loughrea, Athenry and Dunmore MacHales. Further details will be confirmed later.
Thanks to Micheál Lundy, Gary Sice and Ronan Steede who attended underage training on Saturday morning in Belclare and brought along the Division 2 league trophy with them.
