CLUB NOTES:

Our seniors suffered defeat at the hands of Dr Croke’s, Killarney, in the All-Ireland semi-final played in the Gaelic Grounds Limerick on Saturday.  The final score was Dr Croke’s 2-11 to Corofin 0-8.  Dr Croke’s will play Slaughtneil in the final on St. Patrick’s Day.  Although the game did not go our way on Saturday, we are immensely proud of the performance of our lads, not just on Saturday, but all throughout the campaign.  We thank them for the effort they have put in to get this far in the Club Championship and for their hard work in preparation for the game.  They remain one of the top Club teams in the Country and no doubt will get back on the big stage again before long.   They have provided all in the parish, both young and old, with tremendous enjoyment as we followed them throughout their journey.

Once again we thank our supporters who travelled in great numbers to the game.  Thanks also to the numerous GAA Clubs, businesses and individuals who sent us best wishes for the game.

We also send thanks to Na Piarsaigh GAA Club in Limerick for facilitating us prior to the game on Saturday and providing refreshments.

The County Senior Football Championship Draw for 2017 was made last week.  Corofin have been drawn to play Cortoon Shamrocks.
