CLUB NOTES

Our U18’s get their season underway on Sunday when they host Errigal Ciaran at 11:00 a.m. with the U18 development team hosting Clonoe at 12:30 p.m.

Maith Thú to the U14’s who defeated Beragh 4-13 to 0-05 in their first league game last Saturday. This Saturday morning when our U14’s travel to play Eglish at 11:00 a.m.

Club registration is now due, the club have kept their membership fee’s the same as last year so it is £250 for Cairde membership, £50 for adult membership and £10 for youth membership. There is a link on Facebook and sent through the youth groups on Whatsapp where you can sign up online and in addition there will be forms available to get and return in Montague’s Shop.

We are organising a Townlands Talk as part of our Seachtaine na Gaeilge events. This will take place on Tuesday 4th March in The Sports Hall at the Tuesday Club from 11am-12 noon. The talk will be delivered by a member of FODC, everyone welcome. Find more Seachtaine na Gaeilge events on our social media pages in the coming days.

The club are setting up a hospitality group to help with the hospitality end of hosting games, youth tournaments, and events throughout the year, we are looking for volunteers so if you or your partner would be willing to help out the club with this on the odd occasion please contact Geraldine on 07841 332591.

Our Ranganna Gaelige, Irish language classes continue on Monday evenings in St. John’s School, Bun Rang (beginners) is from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Mean Rang (Intermediate) is also from 7:00-8:00 p.m., everyone welcome to come along and join the ever growing Irish language speaking community in Droim Mór.
