CLUB NOTES
Our U16 Development team put up a great performance on Saturday in their league final and were unlucky to lose out 2-06 to 2-03, it was a great season for these lads and thanks to all the parents and their coach’s Joe Rafferty, Joe Maguire and Joe Maguire. Best of luck to the U16 A team have their league semi final this Saturday at 2:00 p.m against Beragh., more details of venue will be on Facebook later this week.
The Gaelic Start program for Playschool & P1 children continues on Friday evening’s from 6:15 – 7:00 p.m, all children welcome.
The Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Championship starts this week with two fixtures on Sunday, Magherafelt O’Donovan Rossa (Derry) play Donaghmoyne (Monaghan) at 1:00 p.m. followed by Four Masters (Donegal) v Roger Casement’s Portglenone (Antrim) at 4:00 p.m., this tournament features all the top underage clubs in Ulster so come along and watch the action in what promises to be two highly entertaining games.
Tickets are now out for our annual 5 week Xmas draw, sellers will be calling at houses locally and there will be an online link, there will be £3,000 in prizes with tickets priced at £10 each or 3 for £20, some nice prizes which would be a great boost coming up to Xmas, we would appreciate everyone’s support.
The dance classes have now finished up for the year, well done to all involved. Ranganna Gaelige, Irish language classes continue on Monday evenings in St. John’s School, Bunrang 1 (complete beginners) is from 7:00-7:45 p.m., Bunrang 2 (beginner improvers) is from 7:45-8:30 p.m. and Meanrang (Intermediate) is from 7:00-8:00 p.m., everyone welcome to come along and join the ever growing Irish language speaking community in Droim Mór.
