On Sunday past our Seniors defeated Eglish 4-17 to 1-08 to finish top of the league. They now await their league semi final opponents. On Saturday the reserves defeated Carrickmore 2-11 to 4-03 in the reserve championship quarter final. They also await their semi final opponents.
Last Saturday saw Killeeshil and Magherafelt progress to the Paul McGirr U16 Club Champions Tournament semi finals in two high octane encounters. The remaining two quarter finals are on this Saturday. First up at 12:00 is St. Eunans Letterkenny v Derrygonnelly. This is followed with the clash of Warrenpoint and the Joe Brolly managed St. Brigids side at 2.30. The tournament has got off to a flying start and we appreciate the continued support from all club members.
There is coaching for the U8’s taking place from 6:15 to 7:15 on Wednesday evenings in the Sports Complex and the U10’s are from 7:00 to 8:00 on Thursday evenings.
Dromore Ladies and The Spirit of Paul McGirr Trust are hosting a big night in the Sports Hall on Saturday 19th featuring the highly acclaimed and hilarious St. Mungo’s GAC play. Doors open at 7:30 and the play starts at 8:00PM. This is an evening not to be missed so people are advised to book their tickets early.
Tickets are now on sale for the clubs Xmas draw, priced at £10 each or £20 for three. There is £3,000 pound in prizes and tickets are available from Montague's Shop or any committee member or senior player.
Our Running / Walking group continues on Thursday evenings at 8:00 in Gardrum Park. This is free of charge to anyone in the parish with all ages and fitness levels welcome.
